Hi guys!
Here is the latest test for the stop animated burning of wood animation.
As you can see, we will be using this animation in interesting and disturbing ways in the film:)
here’s a photo, courtesy of Felix (DOK Leipzig), of “Let’s Talk About Anima”, where i discussed our short film and also where Andrea Martignoni discussed his work on “Muto”, Theodore Ushev talked about his “Drux Flux” and Volker Schlecht talked about “Germania Sausage”!

well, here i am, back in the studio in Split/Croatia! Unfortunately i didn’t bring home any prizes but it’s an honor to lose from such great film’s like Skhizein! But, like i said to Jérémy, we’ll have a chance for revenge in a couple of days at Cordoba’s Animacor Film Festival, where our short’s meet again!
)))
Here are the last photos from the festival!
the closing ceremony!

Well, that’s it, one final tnx to all the great people from DOK Leipzig, special tnx to Jacqueline Zeitz (Program Director for Animated Film), to Ingo Linde from Pink Elephants, Annegret Richter (see u in Split!
) and to Felix Endruweit!
Here we are, just an hour before the closing ceremony, this will be my last post while in Leipzig coz my plane leave’s early in the morning tommorow! It’s been a great festival and a great experiance! Many thank’s to festival organisors for getting me here, to this wonderful festival, and also for being such excelent host’s! Yesterday was “Pink Elephants-Young Animation” projection, a sold out show, i’m pleased to report!; where our short movie was shown, making that it’s third projection on DOK Leipzig! I was also invited to talk to the audiance after the projection about the movie and answer questions.
I took the opportunity to take a picture with the Oscar winners, Frank and Caroline Mouris!

All in all a really wonderful time here in Leipzig!
I know this is a film festival and that i should come here to watch movies and documentaries, but i couldn’t help my selfe, so this afternoon i had to visit the amazing Leipzig free climbing boulder room!
) Hey, sitting in theatre chairs all week i needed some exercise!:)

I didn’t just take photos
)

Well, that’s it from me, i’ll post some photos from the closing ceremony when i get back to Split, but if we don’t win anything i’ll airbrush all the people out and say that the whole thing sucked!
I should also mention that mr. Frank Mouris, famous documentary maker, who won an Oscar for his “Frank Film”, was also present on the She Who Measures QnA session, and also commented how he really liked our movie!
))

hi there!
Great news from Veljko! Sorry i couldn’t be there!!
Ok, back to DOK Leipzig!
This is how lunch looks without my fiancee
and they say man can’t cook!

Well, first sunny day in Leipzig gave me the opportunity to look around the city! So far it has been perfect festival weather, rainy enough that you want to stay in the cinemas but not rainy enough to keep you at home!
so ,here we go,
me!

it’s a nice town with colorful buildings

a visit to the towns cemetery

The Two Towers!

what’s an old city without a creepy church! This one as i am being told is dedicated to Bach!

Well, got to go, it’s Frank’s and Caroline’s Documentary Master Class soon! See ya!
Hi! This is Milivoj writing!
Ok, so i figured out how to upload the photos form my camera, re size them and put them on the web!-all this on an LINUX machine on german! a moment of personal pride!…..So lets begin!:)
Here i am in Leipzig DOK festival! The first day i did not have the time to write because i was driven directly from the airport to our film “SHE WHO MEASURES” screening in a gorgeous little cinema “ASTORIA”. The screening went well with a great audience response to our movie!
Since i have been accustomed to a modest budget and not so comfortable accommodations i did not expect much from the hotel room but coodos to DOK ! Kitchen in my room??! i could get used to this!:)

But, i did not travel all this way to hang out in my hotel room all day, so i was out to catch a few films! The official selection in the short animated movie category was excellent, with only an rare “please, finish already” moment!
At 15:30 we had a “Let’s talk about anima” conference where people asked questions about the movies to the people that worked on the movies. There, i had a chance to talk about our movie and answer some audience questions. This is how the setup looked-

We were uncomfortably placed on a stage! Luckily, the audience was in a good mood!

I recognized a familiar face from Annecy, mr.Dennis Tupicoff and his movie “Chainsaw”, which stuck in my memory, as i’m shure it did Veljko’s and Marin’s as well! Don’t mess with a man’s feelings or chainsaw’s!
lets finish with a few photos!

mmmmm, there is aparty soon, i must admit all this writing has got me hungry! See you all later!
