Joris de man and Andrea Martignoni on board!

Friday, July 30th, 2010

Joris de man, this years  award winner for Best Original Video Game Score for the Killzone 2 soundtrack at the 55th Ivor Novello Awards has agreed to do a short sketch for the music and sound design of our short “dove sei, amor mio?”(formally known as “old woman and a dog”)!

We have managed to snare another great artists for the same job, Andrea Martignoni, the sound designer of animated films by BLU- who has not yet seen his masterpiece MUTO? We are super excited to see what will happen in the heads of both artists!

the old title is dead- LONG LIVE THE NEW TITLE!

Friday, July 30th, 2010

As the dog has been left on the editing room floor quite some time ago (in other words, has been cut from the film), it is no surprise that the old working title had to go- So, i am proud to announce the new working title of the film is “dove sei, amor mio“. The title is in Italian, i know:)

Hi! Here is a render of a textured and surfaced exterior shot- This is the first step, after this the model goes into mudbox to add subtile model changes and details, then we render hand drawn elements and overlay the wood textures and dirty up the image. This was done by Marjan

new models

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Hi guys!

Its been a while since i last posted on the blog, but with the new year and the hollydays,  its been crazy….On top of this i have to say the money is gooone….Since we managed to secure a fraction above  half of the funds required to finish the film..This is why we have been forced to focus more on the commercial jobs to keep the studio running, which in the end makes the film suffer, with the studio spending less time on the film and more on securing money to pay the rent.  In the end we will have to pay for the third of the film out of our own pockets. I feel that larger co-productions and funding outside the state funds is the only way to secure the funds for the entire film, which in our case is around 90 000 euros… But!, enough- I am happy to post new models for the film- The first one is of the old woman as a little girl and the other is the neighbour, for whom we have already done the morph targets…

First look at a finished scene!

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

Hi guys!
Well, im veeerrry excited to show you the final render of one of the scenes in the film!
Yepe:)- it takes around 20 layers of rendered and hand drawn material to get the final look.
This of course means a lot of rendering and storage space, which i feel is one of the main issues we will
have to solve for this production to go smoothly
