Father wins Oktavijan for the Best Croatian Animated Film!

The Oktavijan Award from the Society of Croatian Film Critics for the best Croatian Animated Film awarded at Days of Croatian Film (DCF) goes to Croatia, Bulgaria and Germany! Father by Ivan Bogdanov features five parallel realities in which the impossible dialogues between a child and a father would take place. Every story is animated, designed and directed by different director, and among them is VeljkoPopović from Lemonade3d.

Next stop- Annecy!

A few months back we reported of a meeting between the lemonade3d crew and a certain lady called Maria Dail…The meeting resulted in an agreement that lemonade3d will start work on a fund raising trailer for a feature animated film called PIXLETOWN. After some tome of work we a re happy to present the final product!:)

This one goes out to our former lemon- Marijan Katić who has moved on to greener pastures! A lot of him went into this trailer! thx a bunch man !

Hi to all!

After the successful tutorials in the past, Milivoj has released another tutorial for the Simplylightwave web site. This time Milivoj is building a space shuttle in an 8 hour tutorial, covering it all from a nut bolt to a finished space shuttle model! Following this tutorial, the next installment will go into surfacing, texturing and rendering of the same model! Go, what are you waiting for? Check it out!:)

I am proud to say that “FATHER” has won the special jury prize at this years festival of Croatian animation. This is the third award won by our team in the last three years of the festival! We hope to keep the streak running in the upcoming years!

Short documentary animated film “FATHER” has been selected into the official selection of the biggest festival for animation in the world ANNECY! We are super excited with this news! This will be our third time in the competition of this festival, with one award from the FIPRESCI FILM CRTIQUES ASSOCIATION in Annecy 2008:)

SSFF has been known for its international activities such as screenings in Singapore, Myanmar, and at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences accredited SSFF as an official qualifier of short films for nomination to the annual Academy Awards®. The winner of Short Shorts’ grand prix is eligible to receive an Academy Award nomination.

I am very happy that our latest animated adventure (the co-production and co-operation with Bulgaria and Germany)- the short animated-documentary film FATHER will have its international premiere at the prestigious TRICK FILM FESTIVAL in Stuttgart! The festival, founded in 1982, has developed into an essential event for animation film in Germany over the past 30 years and is one of the biggest and most important festivals for animated films around the world. Artistic animation films and the support of young talent represent the core of the festival. The various competition programmes are endowed with prize money of more than 60,000 euros in total.
